Your business is brilliant.
Your website should act like it.
Squarespace + Shopify websites that don’t break when you look at them sideways — and actually convert.
If your website is behaving like a digital brochure, it’ll get treated like one. People land, scroll twice, and disappear. You’ll keep getting vague messages and price questions instead of confident “How do I book?” enquiries. And if you’ve been quietly avoiding sharing your link because it feels a bit DIY, you’re not alone.
This is where I come in. I build websites that make it easy for the right people to understand what you do, trust you quickly, and take the next step without overthinking it.
Your website is making you look smaller than you are
You know the work is solid. Your clients know.
The website is three years behind all of it.
Maybe it was a DIY build from when money was tight. Maybe someone did it properly in 2019 and nobody has touched it since.
Or it looks completely fine and quietly does not convert, which is the worst version, because nothing appears broken.
The cost is not that people visit and leave.
It is that they decide you are newer or smaller than you are, choose someone who looks the part, and you never find out it happened.
Nineteen years of this, including in-house at Premier Retail Group across Peter Alexander, Portmans and Dotti.
Retail taught me a website is not a brochure. It either converts or it does not, and the difference is almost always structural rather than decorative.
Is this for you?
This is a good fit if you:
have outgrown a DIY site and need something that matches the business you actually run
are established, referred often, and losing people at the website
sell products and need Shopify built properly rather than bolted together
want to be able to update it yourself afterwards without breaking anything
have a site that mostly works and needs someone to fix what is quietly wrong
This is not for you if you:
want WordPress, custom development or something bespoke I would need a developer for
need it live next week (unless a VIP Design Day suits, see below)
are looking for the cheapest possible option
want a template installed with your logo dropped on top, which plenty of people do well for less
WEBSITE LAUNCHPAD
For service businesses that need the whole thing done properly.
A complete Squarespace site, built from strategy up rather than decorated after the fact. Best if your current site is holding you back and you want it sorted once.
Five to six pages, designed and built on Squarespace
Copy framework so you are not staring at a blank page
SEO setup, page titles, meta descriptions and structure
Mobile-optimised and tested properly
Training session so you can update it yourself
Typical timeline: 4 to 5 weeks
$5,600 AUD + GST
SHOPIFY BUILD
For product businesses that need to actually sell.
A full Shopify build, configured end to end. More work than a brochure site because there is a checkout that has to take money reliably, and that is where most cheap builds fall over.
Store designed and built on Shopify
Products, variants and collections set up
Payments, shipping and tax configured and tested
Essential apps selected and installed, nothing you do not need
Training session covering orders, products and updates
Typical timeline: 5 to 6 weeks
$6,900 AUD + GST
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A SITE
THE TUNE-UP PACK
For a website that works but is quietly letting you down.
Your site is fine. It is also slow on mobile, has three broken links, an old phone number in the footer somewhere and a contact form nobody has tested since 2023. This catches all of it.
Full audit across speed, mobile, links and SEO basics
Broken links, forms and typos fixed
Page titles and meta descriptions written properly
Image sizes and alt text sorted
Written summary of anything bigger that needs your decision
Typical timeline: 1 week
$950 AUD + GST
ONGOING WEBSITE SUPPORT
For businesses that are done logging into Squarespace at 10pm.
Website Care, $450 per month
Two hours of changes each month, plus updates, backups and someone keeping an eye on things. Text swaps, image changes, new testimonials, price updates. The small stuff that piles up.
Website Partner, $1,300 per month
Eight hours a month at a better rate than project work. Everything in Care, plus new pages, campaign landing pages, seasonal updates and ongoing SEO.
Month to month. No lock-in, and no awkward conversation if you want to stop.
HOW WE WILL WORK
TOGETHER
1. Fit check, 15 minutes, free You tell me what you need and roughly when. I tell you which package fits, or whether a tune-up would do the job for a tenth of the price. Plenty of sites do not need rebuilding.
2. Brief and quote A short written brief covering pages, scope and who is writing what. Fixed price, fixed scope, clear timeline.
3. Design and build Homepage design first for sign-off, then the rest of the site built out. You see it at milestones rather than getting silence and then a reveal.
4. Launch and handover Testing across devices, SEO setup, then a recorded training session so you can run it yourself. Thirty days of questions included, because things always come up in week three.
Answers, before you have to ask

For a professionally designed small business website, the Australian market runs roughly $3,000 to $10,000 for a service business site, and $6,000 to $20,000 for ecommerce. Below about $2,000 you are generally buying a template with your logo on it, which is a legitimate option but a different thing. My builds start at $5,600. Domain and hosting are separate and usually $300 to $600 a year.

Shopify if selling products online is the main job of the site. It handles inventory, variants, shipping and tax in ways Squarespace does not, and the checkout is better. Squarespace for everything else, including service businesses, portfolios and businesses selling a handful of products alongside their main offer. If you are not sure, the fit check sorts it in about five minutes.
-
No. I build on Squarespace and Shopify because they are platforms you can maintain yourself without a developer on retainer. WordPress is powerful and it is also a plugin update away from breaking on a Sunday. If WordPress is genuinely what you need, I will point you at someone good.
-
Yes, and that is the point. Every build includes a training session, recorded so you can go back to it. Squarespace and Shopify are both built for owners to run themselves. If you would rather not, the ongoing support plans exist for exactly that.
-
Every build includes a copy framework, which means structure, headings and prompts so you are not facing a blank page. Full copywriting is available as an add-on. Most people find the framework is enough once they can see the shape of it.
-
Four to five weeks for a Squarespace build, five to six for Shopify. That clock starts when I have your content, not when you book. Content is almost always what causes delays, so we agree a date for it in the brief.
-
Your brand files, your content or a willingness to work through the copy framework, and any images you want used. If you do not have brand files, we should talk about brand design first, because building a website on an undefined brand means making brand decisions inside a website project.
-
Squarespace and Shopify both include hosting, so there is nothing separate to arrange. If you already own a domain we point it at the new site. If you do not, I will help you get one.
-
Constantly. I am based in Bathurst NSW and work with clients across Central West NSW including Orange, Mudgee, Lithgow, Blayney, Oberon and Cowra, and Australia-wide from Perth to Brisbane. Most builds run entirely over email and video calls. If you are local and would rather sit down properly, that is easy.
