Brand and website design for design-led residential studios
Considered brand identity and Squarespace websites for interior designers, architects, and architectural residential builders across Australia. Based in Bathurst NSW.
You already know what good design does.
You spec the right palette, get the proportions right, and watch a room come alive because every decision was made with intention. Your clients trust you because your work is considered — not templated, not rushed, not generic.
So when your own brand and website don't reflect that same level of thinking, it's more than just frustrating. It's actively costing you the clients you actually want.
The ones who understand the value of design investment. The ones who'd pay your full rate without flinching. The ones who'd make your portfolio sing if you could just get them through the door in the first place.
This page is for you.
The kind of work I do for
design-led studios
Brand identity, Squarespace and Shopify websites, and digital design for interior designers, residential architects, building design studios, and adjacent design-led professionals.
The approach is different from what you'll get from most designers:
Brand strategy that actually belongs to your practice. Not a mood board pulled from Pinterest. Proper positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity that reflects how your studio actually works and who your ideal clients actually are.
Custom Squarespace website design. Clean, considered, editorial. Built to hold beautiful project photography without fighting it, with project case study structures that let each build breathe. SEO foundations included so your studio actually surfaces when someone searches for a designer in your region.
Brand collateral systems. Capability statements, briefing documents, proposal templates, project handover packs, business cards. The unsexy documents that do real client-experience work when they're designed properly.
Project and portfolio photography direction. When you need imagery that matches your brand palette and tone rather than generic stock, or when you're working with a photographer and need a design-led brief.
Recent work for design-led studios
THE OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE
Brand refresh and full brand systemA Brisbane-based residential building design studio with genuinely exceptional work and a brand that wasn't quite doing them justice. We rebuilt their identity from the ground up — a refined modern logo, a full brand book, business cards, email signatures, capability documents, and a clean-lined website that now sits at theoutsideperspective.com.au.
The brief was "more professional without losing approachable." The outcome was a studio that now looks as sharp online as the work they deliver in person.
POLINA RADCHENKO INTERIORS
Brand identity, website, and digital collateral for Polina Radchenko Interiors — a considered body of work for a considered designer. Design-led studios need designers who understand the level of craft the work demands, and Polina's project was exactly that kind of engagement.

IMAGINE PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
A Brisbane-based architectural residential builder with an award-winning portfolio and a quiet, considered approach to the work. The capability statement needed to sit alongside genuinely premium architectural photography without competing with it — editorial typography, restrained grid, confident white space.
The document is the kind of thing that lands on an architect's desk and stays there. Which is exactly what Tom needed it to do.

work with me
I understand the work. 19 years of professional design experience, including senior work for Peter Alexander, Kathmandu, Spotlight, and Premier Retail Group. I've worked at agency scale, in-house at retailers, and now independently. When you brief me, I understand what you're asking for at the level of detail that matters.
I don't over-design. Design-led studios don't want gimmicks, animation for the sake of it, or brand guidelines that read like a marketing textbook. They want considered, editorial, quietly confident work. That's what I deliver.
I write as well as I design. Most designers can't write. I can. Which means your brand voice, your website copy, your tagline, and your project descriptions can all come out of the same process, in a single consistent tone. No handing your half-built brand to a copywriter who doesn't get it.
I'm not a metro agency. Based in Bathurst NSW, I work with studios across Australia without the metro-agency overhead. You get senior-level strategic design work without paying for an account manager, a design director, a junior designer, and a studio in Surry Hills.
I get the client experience too. Your clients are often paying between $15K and $250K+ for your work. They expect a certain level of professionalism at every touchpoint. Your brand, your website, your proposal template, and your project handover pack are all part of that experience. I treat them as one connected system, not five separate projects.
What working together looks like
A proper brand identity for an interior designer or architect typically runs $4,500 to $8,500 and includes strategy, logo and visual identity, type and colour systems, and a full brand book.
A custom Squarespace website for a design-led studio typically runs $5,500 to $9,500 depending on portfolio depth, page count, and whether you need copywriting support.
A combined brand and website project typically runs $8,500 to $15,000 depending on scope. This is the most common engagement for studios rebranding or launching.
For ongoing collateral work — capability statements, proposal templates, project documents — I offer a retainer arrangement billed monthly.
Every project starts with a 30-minute discovery call so we can both work out whether it's the right fit before quoting.
